It just does not happen - except maybe for the first few people who ever did it many years ago when they were mailing out scams.
• Do you respond to the sense of urgency? It is probably best not to. If the advertisement wants a decision right away, or if they use high pressure techniques to get you to sign up right away or you’ll lose a chance of a lifetime in a work at home opportunity, tell them no thanks. This method usually requires you to send in some money right away to get some sort of bonus. Kind of like the donkey with the carrot in front of his face.
The greed factor is what most of the scammers out there count on. That is how they get people all the time. You have to be aware of some of the methods they use. These people are professionals and know how to make something look legitimate. Make sure you do a thorough research on any work at home business you find interesting. Most important, use your common sense. If you have that gut feeling that something is not right then walk away. But beware because the scams are getting more sophisticated every day.

I wonder how many people out there really look forward to getting up on Monday mornings and going to work? Work at home is the dream of both online and offline entrepreneurs. Having a substantial income, time freedom and more time with family and friends while you work at home is also part of the dream. All too often people get caught up in the dream and forget about the reality. We all know that there are a lot of scams on the Internet. But personally, I want to work at home, with an online business with integrity. That is a lofty goal indeed. I have been working online for many years and have definitely come across some great companies. The one area that all have fallen short in my expectations is support. Having a work force that works for free and only gets paid when they move product by recruiting other distributors or representatives. But seriously, how ethical is that?
That’s right, aspiring business builders are required to purchase product. Although work at home business builders are encouraged to sell the product to customers, the biggest benefit is in getting business builders who will purchase a required amount of product every month. So, essentially, you end up with a base of people wanting to build a business and very little else. This is not the way any successful company - with true long term potential - makes it on or off of the Internet.
This does not benefit the distributors much at all. It is good for the company, but not so great for the person trying to build a work at home business. Some of us have very fond memories of childhood. There is a large group of people among us that is very under appreciated. I am talking about work at home moms. They deserve a gold medal - not an Olympic medal - a real gold one because they are the greatest workers of all time. All Moms have been working from home since day One. Ever since the cave man era they have worked from home as the cook and bottle washer (I don’t think they had bottles then?). Anyway through out the ages there have always been work at home moms, mostly unpaid. So it is time that all this should be changed.
Someone, somewhere, once analyzed what everybody’s work at home moms did and tried to value their work. I do not remember the exact figures that they came up with but it far surpassed the average annual wages for the country. They get a lot of reward from seeing us kids strive and reach goals, both personal and goals set by our moms. We can be 80 years of age and our moms still see us as kids. There are a lot of reasons people want to stop the commute job, and want to start a work at home business. The websites that are essentially, lie to you about how much money they made in anywhere from 30 to 90 days, look nice with their flashy appeal, but are pretty much full of hype and BS. And the vast majority of them are about MLM businesses. Okay, it may be possible for a very select few super experienced networkers with a lot of contacts to make that much money, not the average person starting out. It takes time to build a network of contacts and people who would be interested in your work at home business.
The thing about most MLM companies is tha they don’t have the real training that you need. They have the business, and great products to go along with it, but the support that you really need is lacking. Their marketing strategy is to contact all of your friends and family. Then email everyone on your email list. Some may still even suggest to rent out a hotel or motel room to have a presentation for people.
But then comes the creme de la creme of marketing strategies - BUY LEADS! Buy leads and call them. If you have just started your work at home business you are in for a treat. Leads convert at about 3% average. That means if you call 100 people then 97 will say NO and 3 will say yes. But don’t believe those statistics. They are also not being truthful. They do not convert at anywhere near that rate. What actually happens is that 3% will show an interest. But chances are still that zero will join.
But let’s suppose that you got really lucky and 3 people out of 100 actually did join. Well, 95% of people who join MLM companies quit. So, you got 3 to join, and now 2.85 are going to quit. You have to buy more leads to get another 3, and 2.85 of them are going to quit. This is an ongoing process. Even though people want a work at home business, the ones who join MLM companies just do not stay in the companies.
Calling leada is the training that most of the companies out their promote (after you have bothered your family and friends, of course). Now I know that not everyone can call leads successfully. Some can and enjoy it but from the above statistics not everybody does. That is why they quit even if they like the product.
